This smart curtain track works great. It's quiet, easy to set up, and it works seamlessly with Alexa. This track system runs much more smoothly than my previous unit, a retrofit system with 2 motors riding on the rod. The old one had trouble dealing with the slightest bump, and those tiny motors running made an irritating sound. So, it's a welcome relief to watch this new Osprey system run almost silently. Plus, this system overlaps the curtains in the middle, so there's no annoying gap to let light through. Also, I like how easy it is to use Alexa to control the curtains - I almost never touch the remote.The rail system can be used as a direct replacement for a simple rod, but it does stand out a bit, especially the unfinished, shiny mounting plates. We used a basic cloth valence that's attached to the rail system, but a proper valence would look better. Ideally, the rails would be recessed into the ceiling for a truly built-in look.

This was fairly easy to install but I had to get my husband to help me. Normally I can understand the instructions and do it myself, but I had a bit of a hard time with these. I was able to extend the rod and hang the brackets, everything made sense to me except for the motor mount, which turned out to be easy but I think more photos might have helped.The track works great, the one downside is that the top of the hooks are kind of weak, and when my dog walks through the curtains and steps on them, they bend and come loose. That's probably not a big deal for most people but we have a bay window and that's where her dog bed happens to be. Everything relies on the innermost hook on each track, and if that comes loose it will pull the curtains closed, but it won't push them open again.Did I need curtains that I can operate with a remote? No. Does it feel really cool to be able to use a remote to open and close my curtains? Yes. And I can program them which is even better. It's great for days when we want to sleep in but the plants need light, and awesome for vacation to keep things looking normal.

I’ve tried 4 other electric curtain tracks before purchasing this. Even some premium one costing twice as much. Non of them compare to Osprey curtain track for ease of installation. This is the only track preassembled out of package, so no cutting belts and risk messing up.You can control this track with alexa or set a schedule on it’s osprey app.Buid quality also seems solid.Only downside is that, you’re pretty much limited to using double panel curtains due to the design.

This curtain track looks nice, installation is very easy, just need to mount 3 brackets at the same level on the wall, then screw the track to the brackets. The noise level is extremely low, almost not noticeable. Very easy to be controlled by remote and Alexa voice. Also it can be setup schedule through phone app
